This policy explains which cookies and similar browser storage the GoJanes website uses, what each one does, and how you can control them. It forms part of our Privacy Policy.
In brief
- The site sets only strictly necessary cookies and storage. There are no advertising or analytics cookies.
- Our consent banner runs in opt-in mode: an optional cookie would only ever load after you accepted it.
- Nothing optional is in use today, so accepting or rejecting currently changes nothing except your recorded choice.
- You can clear cookies at any time from your browser settings.

1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. Similar technologies include local storage and IndexedDB, which keep data in your browser without sending it with every request. We use "cookies" below to cover all of them.
2. How we ask for your consent
When you first visit, a banner offers "Accept all" or "Reject non-essential". Our consent tool (Finsweet Cookie Consent) runs in opt-in mode, so a script marked as optional does not load unless you accept. Strictly necessary cookies are exempt from consent under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations and are set regardless of your choice.
To change your choice, delete the fs-cc cookie for gojanes.com, or clear the site's cookies, in your browser. The banner will appear again on your next visit.
3. The cookies and storage we use
Records whether you accepted or rejected optional cookies, so the banner does not reappear on every page.
Set by Cloudflare, which our hosting provider Webflow uses to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. It tells requests from the same connection apart so that rate limits work correctly.
Remembers whether you chose the light or dark version of the site. Only set if you use the theme toggle.
On the Waiting List page only. Keeps your sign-up session with Firebase Authentication so that your account can be created and confirmed.
All of these are strictly necessary: the site, the consent banner or the waitlist sign-up would not work without them.
4. Optional cookies
We do not currently use analytics, advertising or social-media cookies. If we add any, we will list them here first, and they will only load after you accept them through the banner.
5. Managing cookies in your browser
Most browsers let you view, block and delete cookies from their settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site working, for example the waitlist sign-up. These guides explain how:
6. Changes and contact
We will update this policy whenever the cookies we use change. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If you have a question about cookies or privacy, email legal@gojanes.com.
